Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has inaugurated the Office of Dubai Chamber International in the state.
Mr. Sanwo-Olu took to his X account formerly Twitter on Thursday to announce the feat, stressing that the paradigm shift will promote international trade amongst Nigerians and their United Arab Emirates’ counterparts.
“Today, I inaugurated the Lagos Office of the Dubai Chamber International which marks a turning point for international trade between Nigerians and the United Arab Emirate,” he stated.
He disclosed that the development is a testament to the state being the economic and commercial centre in Nigeria and by extension, West Africa.
“It is also an affirmation of Lagos’ position as the economic and commercial hub in Nigeria and the West African sub region.”
Governor Sanwo-Olu also revealed that he engaged the Dubai Chamber International and others present in order to propel business connections.
“I was glad to join the ‘Doing Business with Nigeria’ Forum; an incredible initiative bringing together minds from Dubai Chamber International, Consulate General of the UAE in Lagos, NACCIMA, and LCCI to foster stronger business ties.”
He further stated that they had great discussions centred on enhancing economic partnerships between Nigeria, Dubai and other partners across the world.
The governor reiterated his delight, adding that exciting prospects lie ahead as Lagos pave the way for growth, innovation, and investment opportunities.
